Product Description:
The 131B1167 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series and the broader VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. The unit converts fixed AC line power into a modulated output so induction or permanent-magnet motors can operate at commanded speed and torque levels. By integrating with PLC-based systems, the drive supports controlled motion in conveyors, pumps, fans, mixers, and general process equipment used throughout industrial automation. Its adjustable output lets a connected motor follow changing process demand without relying on mechanical throttling or separate speed-control hardware.
Its continuous motor output is rated at 20 HP, which corresponds to 15 kW. The input section accepts 380–500 VAC through three-phase power, allowing direct connection to typical industrial distribution networks. An enclosure classified as IP54/Type 12 N3R shields internal electronics from dust and sprayed liquids in demanding plant locations. Standard cable entries provide a direct path for incoming power, motor conductors, and control wiring during panel or wall installation. No brake chopper is fitted, so regenerated energy produced during rapid deceleration must be directed to suitable external braking equipment.
Electromagnetic compliance is aided by the RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which attenuates conducted noise on the supply conductors and helps limit interference reaching nearby equipment. Users interact through a Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides local access to operating values, parameter menus, and drive status without an external programming device. The control boards have no conformal coating, so humid or corrosive settings must rely on enclosure protection and appropriate installation practices. The product carries series code 302, placing its control platform within the FC 302 drive line. Local display access also allows operating conditions to be reviewed at the unit while the connected PLC continues to issue process commands.
