Product Description:
Danfoss manufactures the 131B1034, an AC variable frequency drive in the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated voltage output, allowing induction-motor speed and torque to be regulated in conveyors, pumps, and other process equipment. Adjustable speed control reduces mechanical wear and aligns motor energy use with the instantaneous load in automated production lines. The converter is suitable for wall-mounted or cabinet installations where moderate motor loads are coordinated from a centralized control system.
The drive accepts an input of 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power network and supplies up to 2.0 HP, which corresponds to a continuous electrical rating of 1.5 kW. Its enclosure meets the IP21 / Type 1 standard, protecting internal components against contact with fingers and vertically falling water drops. A built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter keeps conducted emissions within the applicable industrial limits. Standard cable entries accommodate common gland plates, allowing power and control wiring to enter the enclosure through suitable fittings. The included language pack provides the standard menu content used for local parameter access and status review. The drive does not include a brake chopper or mains disconnect, so external braking and disconnect equipment must be selected where required. Its optional function positions are unpopulated, and adaptation B is not applied to this configuration.
Operation is guided by the Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides parameter access, trend readouts, operating information, and alarm acknowledgment without requiring a supervisory controller. The circuit boards are not coated, so installations exposed to humidity, condensation, or airborne contaminants should use a suitably sealed enclosure. This protection is especially important where moisture could accumulate on electronic components or conductive dust could enter through ventilation openings. The internal series identifier is 302, placing the unit within the FC 302 product line. Its local interface also allows operating values to be reviewed directly at the drive when the surrounding control system is unavailable.
