Product Description:
The 131B0918 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As part of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, the controller regulates the speed of three-phase induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and process fans. By varying the output frequency, it allows a PLC to match motor torque to operating demand. This control can lower energy use and mechanical wear while maintaining stable flow, tension, or positioning in automated equipment.
Its power module is rated at 0.75 kW, which is the continuous electrical output available at the motor terminals. This capacity is equivalent to 1.0 HP for applications that use imperial units. The unit accepts a three-phase power input, eliminating concerns associated with single-phase derating. Its IP20 chassis provides protection against accidental finger contact but relies on the surrounding cabinet for protection from dust and other contaminants. An integrated RFI filter attenuates common-mode noise to reduce conducted emissions on the supply conductors. Cabinet airflow carries heat away from the converter during operation and must remain unobstructed to support normal thermal performance.
The unit includes a graphical local control panel that allows users to view operating information and edit parameters directly from the front of the drive. The interface uses the standard language pack for menu navigation and parameter access. The drive supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, matching the arrangement used with standard FC-302 heat sinks. Power and control wiring enter through the standard cable openings provided in the chassis. The drive has an uncoated circuit board, so an external enclosure is necessary where corrosive vapors, moisture, or airborne contaminants are present. No brake chopper is installed. Expansion slots A, B, C0, C1, and D are supplied without optional modules, and the mains bay follows the No Adaptation baseline. These open positions leave room for compatible communication or motion modules if additional functions are required later.
