Product Description:
The 131B0849 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Housed as a cabinet-mounted inverter, it modulates the output frequency supplied to three-phase induction motors so plant control systems can adjust speed, torque, and energy consumption in real time. This model belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and is intended for process, material-handling, and HVAC equipment that requires precise motor regulation. Its compact configuration supports installation inside an appropriate control cabinet alongside related switching and protection equipment.
The drive delivers up to 2.2 kW of continuous output, corresponding to a motor output of 3.0 HP for standard IEC motors. It accepts an input supply of 380–500 VAC and requires a three-phase power supply to maintain its full current capacity. Heat is removed through natural convection when the unit is installed in a compatible cabinet-mounted A, B, or C frame, so an external fan kit is not required. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental finger contact with live parts but does not prevent dust or moisture from entering the unit. Installation inside a suitable cabinet is therefore required for operation in an industrial environment. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, so the drive should not be exposed to corrosive vapors or other contaminants that could damage its internal electronics.
Field connectivity is provided by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-slot card, which enables cyclic process-data exchange with an upstream PLC. Regenerated energy from decelerating loads can be managed by the integrated brake chopper when the drive is connected to a suitable braking resistor. Conducted electrical emissions are reduced by the embedded RFI filter, and the standard cable entries support orderly routing inside the cabinet. The series designation 302 indicates compatibility with applicable FC 302 accessories and control options. The unit does not include an LCP keypad or a dedicated mains option, while its language package uses standard English. These interface and installation features allow the drive to communicate with common industrial control networks while keeping its power and signal wiring organized.
