The Danfoss 131B0761 belongs to the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series and operates at a power rating of 1.5 kW, which is equivalent to 2.0 HP. This automation drive supports mains voltages from 380 to 500 VAC, three-phase power, and features a brake chopper along with standard cable entries. It also provides IP20 protection in a chassis design and includes a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 option for communication.
Internal Product Review
The 131B0761 is a Danfoss VLT FC 302 automation drive rated at 1.5 kW for three-phase applications. PROFIBUS DP V1 communication and a brake chopper give the drive strong integration potential and controlled stopping performance. IP20/chassis construction and 24 VDC backup support make the unit a very capable choice for cabinet-mounted automation systems.

Product Description:
The 131B0761 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts constant-frequency three-phase power into a modulated output for controlling an induction motor. This regulated output allows the motor’s speed and torque to follow changing load requirements in automated machinery, including conveyors, pumps, production equipment, and other variable-speed applications.
This model delivers a continuous output of 1.5 kW, which corresponds to 2.0 HP in imperial units. It accepts a mains supply of 380–500 VAC across all three lines, allowing direct connection to common industrial power systems within that voltage range. Operation with three-phase power reduces conductor current and supports balanced torque production in the connected motor. The IP20 chassis enclosure is suitable for installation inside a ventilated control cabinet where protection against finger contact is required, while the surrounding panel provides additional protection from environmental conditions. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, allowing direct access to their components during maintenance. Cabinet airflow must provide adequate ventilation around the chassis to remove heat generated during normal operation.
An integrated PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 option card transmits set points, commands, operating data, and status information between the drive and higher-level controllers. Regenerated energy is managed by a built-in brake chopper, which routes braking energy to an external resistor and helps decelerate the motor without relying solely on mechanical braking. Electromagnetic interference is reduced by a factory-installed RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, while the MCB-107 24 V DC backup module supports control-circuit operation during brief interruptions of the mains supply. Standard cable entries accommodate common gland plates, and the drive mounts on compatible A-, B-, or C-frame cabinet rails. A local control panel is not installed, so parameter access and operating commands are provided through the fieldbus connection or compatible PC tools. Option slots B, C0, C1, and the mains-side slot remain unpopulated, leaving those positions available for compatible expansion modules.
