Product Description:
The 131B0658 is a variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. In an automation cell, it regulates the speed of industrial induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and fans. Adjustable motor speed allows connected equipment to respond to changing process demand instead of operating continuously at full output. This control can reduce energy consumption and limit unnecessary mechanical stress on downstream equipment.
The inverter delivers 1.5 kW of continuous output power, which is equivalent to 2.0 HP. It is designed for three-phase power and connects directly to a 380–480 V industrial supply. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental finger contact with live components when the drive is installed in a suitable cabinet. Local parameter access is provided through the front-mounted graphical local control panel, which displays operating status and permits direct adjustment of setpoints. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so rapid motor deceleration requires suitable external braking hardware. Its electronics also support a standard language pack for local display functions and parameter menus.
The drive uses uncoated printed circuit boards, making installation in clean, dry surrounding air important for dependable operation. Cabinet installation follows normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing the chassis to use the corresponding FC 302 mounting arrangement. Field wiring enters the enclosure through the supplied standard cable glands, which provide organized cable entry for power and control conductors. The control terminal layout corresponds to the 302 series identifier, maintaining the pin arrangement used for this drive series. The drive is supplied without a built-in fieldbus adaptation in slot B, and unused expansion positions remain available for compatible control or communication cards when required by the application.
