Product Description:
The 131B0623 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It modulates output voltage and frequency to regulate the speed and torque of an induction motor. This control method allows connected machinery to accelerate, decelerate, and operate at commanded speeds without relying on fixed-frequency line power. The drive is suitable for conveyors, pumps, and general motion applications in industrial automation systems.
The drive accepts 200–240 VAC from a three-phase power source, allowing direct connection to compatible low-voltage distribution equipment. Its continuous mechanical output is rated at 0.75 kW, which corresponds to 1.0 HP. The enclosure uses an IP20 chassis that helps prevent accidental contact with live internal components when the unit is installed inside a suitable cabinet. Normal cabinet-mount A, B, and C frames support conventional panel layouts, while standard cable entries align with commonly used gland plates. The printed circuit board is not coated, so the cabinet must protect the drive from moisture, conductive dust, and other contaminants that could affect exposed electronics. No mains option is installed, so any required disconnect or additional line-side equipment must be provided separately. The drive also lacks a brake chopper, which means regenerative energy from rapid deceleration or overhauling loads must be managed through the application design or suitable external equipment.
Operational access is provided through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which allows operating values, parameters, alarms, and status information to be viewed at the drive. Network commands and process data are exchanged through the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-option card, supporting communication with compatible automation controllers. An integrated RFI filter limits conducted electromagnetic interference on the incoming power connection and helps the installation meet applicable industrial EMC requirements. The local panel also supports direct start, stop, navigation, and parameter adjustment when network control is unavailable or local operation is required. The PROFIBUS interface carries command setpoints and operating feedback between the drive and the higher-level control system, reducing the amount of discrete control wiring needed in coordinated machinery.
