Product Description:
The 131B0561 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output so controllers can regulate the speed and torque of induction motors. The device belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and is intended for cabinet installation in conveyors, pumps, and material-handling lines where compact dimensions and standardized wiring are priorities. Its control architecture supports applications that require adjustable acceleration, deceleration, and operating speed. The cabinet-mounted format also places the power and control connections within a protected electrical enclosure.
The drive has a continuous output rating of 0.55 kW, corresponding to a mechanical capacity of 0.75 HP at the motor shaft. The power section accepts 200–240 VAC from a three-phase power network, allowing direct connection to low-voltage industrial feeders. An IP20 chassis protects personnel from accidental contact with internal components and is suitable for normal cabinet mounting across the applicable frame sizes. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so regenerated energy must be managed through motor losses or a separate external braking arrangement. It is supplied without a local control panel, which reduces the required installation depth. The mains option slot is empty, allowing upstream disconnects and contactors to provide electrical isolation.
The communication backplane contains a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-option card, enabling cyclic fieldbus control and diagnostic data exchange with an automation controller. The B, C0, C1, and D expansion positions are unused, leaving those interfaces unavailable in this configuration. Conducted emissions are limited by the integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which can reduce the need for supplementary filtering in suitable cabinets. Wiring enters through standard cable glands, providing conventional routing for power and control conductors. The drive has uncoated control boards, so the surrounding air must remain free of corrosive vapors and excessive contamination. Parameter numbering follows the FC 302 platform structure, allowing control settings to be organized consistently within compatible automation systems.
