Product Description:
The 131B0533 is an AC variable frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Installed in a control cabinet, the unit varies motor frequency to provide precise speed and torque control for automated conveyors, mixers, and ventilation equipment. This adjustable output can reduce unnecessary energy consumption and mechanical stress when an application does not require the connected motor to operate continuously at full speed. The drive is intended for industrial automation systems that require dependable motor regulation and network-based control.
The drive supplies a continuous shaft output of 5.5 kW, equivalent to 7.5 HP, making it suitable for mid-range industrial motors. It accepts a mains voltage range of 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, so it can connect directly to compatible industrial electrical systems. The IP20 chassis protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal components while allowing installation inside a suitable enclosure. The drive has no brake chopper, so applications requiring rapid deceleration must use suitable external dynamic-braking equipment. Its printed circuit boards are not coated, making the unit appropriate for clean cabinet environments where moisture, condensation, and corrosive contaminants are controlled.
The installed PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 communication module occupies the A slot and connects the drive to compatible PLC networks. This interface supports the exchange of operating commands, reference values, status information, and diagnostic data between the inverter and the automation controller. EMC performance is supported by a factory-installed RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which reduces conducted electrical noise that could affect nearby equipment. Standard cable entries simplify power, motor, control, and communication cable routing within the cabinet. The drive uses the normal cabinet-mount arrangement for A, B, and C frames, allowing the required installation clearances and cooling airflow to be maintained. No local control panel is supplied, so operating commands and parameter access are handled through the network interface or another compatible control connection.
