The 131B0525 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit is used in industrial automation to regulate motor torque and speed without mechanical throttling, supporting machinery that requires accurate process control. Its chassis format permits standard cabinet mounting on size A, B, or C frames, giving panel builders a consistent footprint for midrange motion tasks. The drive converts fixed-frequency input power into a variable-frequency output that supports controlled acceleration, deceleration, and steady motor operation.
It accepts 380–500 VAC input and is designed for three-phase power systems found in production plants. The inverter supplies up to 3.0 kW, which corresponds to approximately 4.0 HP at the motor shaft. An IP20/chassis enclosure requires installation inside a protected cabinet that limits contact with internal components. Standard cable entries simplify gland-plate preparation and provide practical routing for power, motor, and control wiring. The printed circuit board is uncoated, making the drive appropriate for clean, dry enclosures where moisture and airborne contaminants are controlled. Without a brake chopper, an external braking resistor cannot be connected directly to the drive. The drive is supplied without an LCP keypad, so settings are adjusted through compatible remote tools or the communication interface. A standard language pack is preloaded for access to the available menus and parameter descriptions. Standard cabinet mounting hardware is included for installation in a suitable enclosure.
Communication is provided by an A-slot PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 card, enabling cyclic command, status, and process data exchange with compatible PLCs. The built-in filter meets RFI Class A1/B (C1) limits, helping reduce conducted radio-frequency interference in the connected electrical system. The product carries series index 302, which maintains the parameter structure associated with the FC 302 platform. Control functions use the standard application set stored in memory rather than optional C-slot application software. Motor speed references, operating commands, and diagnostic information can be exchanged through the installed fieldbus card, reducing the need for separate hardwired control signals.
