Product Description:
The 131B0517 variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts a fixed-frequency supply into a regulated output, allowing machine controllers to adjust motor speed for pumps, fans, conveyors, and other automated equipment. The drive belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and uses the internal series identifier 302. Its chassis format supports control panel integration and fits the normal cabinet mounting layouts used for frames A, B, and C.
The input section accepts three-phase power from a 380–500 VAC supply. It provides a maximum motor output of 1.5 kW, which corresponds to a continuous mechanical load of 2.0 HP. The IP20 chassis enclosure requires installation inside a protected cabinet that provides suitable airflow and prevents exposure to contaminants. Standard cable entries simplify routing through the gland plate, while the established mounting pattern supports orderly placement alongside other panel components. The printed circuit boards are not coated, so the surrounding air must remain within the permitted humidity and contamination limits to protect electrical insulation and electronic components during operation.
Communication is provided by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-option card, which connects the drive to compatible industrial control networks. The D-option slot contains an MCB-107 24 V DC backup for power-loss ride-through and continued operation of supported control functions during a supply interruption. The drive is supplied without an LCP keypad or a mains option, and adaptation field B does not apply an additional configuration change. The unit has no brake chopper, so applications requiring dynamic braking must use suitable external equipment. Conducted electrical noise is reduced by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which helps limit interference returned to the incoming supply. User interaction is provided through the standard language pack available for this drive platform.
