Product Description:
The 131B0514 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output for controlling the speed of compatible three-phase induction motors. This capability supports adjustable-speed operation in pumps, fans, conveyors, and other automated machinery. Motor speed can be matched to changing process demand instead of remaining fixed at the incoming line frequency, which can reduce unnecessary mechanical loading during operation.
This model operates with a mains supply of 380–500 VAC and is designed for three-phase power systems. Its continuous mechanical output is rated at 1.1 kW, which corresponds to a shaft output of 1.5 HP. The IP20 chassis protects against accidental contact with internal electrical parts but does not provide protection against water. The drive must therefore be installed in a clean, dry cabinet that provides suitable protection from moisture and airborne contamination. Its internal circuit boards do not have a protective coating, making proper enclosure conditions especially important. Cables enter through standard glands arranged around the enclosure, allowing the power, motor, and control wiring to be routed into the chassis. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so applications requiring dynamic braking must use appropriate external components. It is also supplied without an LCP keypad, while the standard language setting provides the basic menu structure for operation and parameter access.
Industrial network communication is provided by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-option card, which allows the drive to exchange commands, operating data, and diagnostic information with compatible control systems. Conducted electrical emissions are limited by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, supporting connection to industrial power networks that require electromagnetic interference control. The housing supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames on a suitable backplate. Chassis ventilation openings allow cooling air to circulate through the installed unit, so the cabinet layout must leave sufficient clearance around the airflow paths. Adaptation B functionality, B and D options, mains options, C-slot software additions, and C0 motion-control functions are not installed. EMC accessories and additional software expansions are also omitted, leaving the associated positions available for a straightforward general-purpose drive configuration.
