Product Description:
The 131B0502 is a variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and carries the internal series identifier 302. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a modulated output, allowing plant controllers to vary induction motor speed, reduce energy use, and coordinate motion in automated machinery. Its control capabilities suit small conveyors, pumps, blowers, and other motor-driven equipment that requires adjustable speed or process control.
The drive delivers a continuous mechanical output of 0.55 kW, which corresponds to 0.75 HP for small motor applications. Its power section accepts a supply between 380–500 VAC. The unit is designed for three-phase power and connects directly to compatible industrial feeders. Because an internal brake chopper is omitted, regenerative energy must be handled by a suitable external arrangement when the connected load requires dynamic braking. The enclosure provides IP20 chassis protection and is intended for installation inside a ventilated cabinet that prevents accidental contact with live components. A built-in filter meets RFI Class A1/B (C1) requirements to limit radio-frequency interference in the surrounding electrical system. Wiring passes through standard cable entries, supporting orderly routing within the enclosure. An LCP front panel is not included, so parameter setup and operating commands must be provided through the available remote interface or control network.
The A-slot contains a DeviceNet MCA 104 card, allowing the inverter to exchange setpoints, operating commands, and status information with compatible PLC networks without an additional gateway. Mechanical installation uses normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, with mounting provisions that align with common arrangements across the platform. The control electronics use uncoated circuit boards, so the drive should be installed away from corrosive atmospheres, condensation, and excessive humidity. The configuration does not include B, C0, C1, or D option boards. A mains disconnect and other mains options are also omitted. The drive uses a standard language pack for its supported menus and operating information.
