Product Description:
The 131B0497 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It serves as a cabinet-mounted controller that converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a modulated output for accurate motor control. This capability allows the drive to regulate the speed of induction motors used in industrial automation lines, conveyors, and pump systems. The controller is designed for installation in an electrical cabinet with suitable protection and ventilation.
This drive delivers a continuous mechanical output of 0.37 kW, which corresponds to 0.50 HP at the motor shaft. It accepts supply power ranging from 380 to 500 VAC and is designed exclusively for three-phase power networks. The enclosure has an IP20 chassis rating, so the unit must be installed inside a protected electrical panel. Standard cable entries simplify power, motor, and control wiring within the cabinet. The internal printed circuit boards are uncoated, allowing heat to dissipate under normal plant conditions. The unit does not include a brake chopper, so braking energy cannot be routed to a connected chopper resistor. It belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and carries the internal series identifier 302.
Field integration is handled through the factory-installed PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 interface, enabling real-time setpoint exchange and diagnostic communication with upstream PLCs. An integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter reduces radio-frequency interference and supports use in industrial electrical environments. The hardware uses normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing it to fit the corresponding panel layout and heat sink clearances. Adaptation boards and B, C0, C1, C, and D option boards are not installed. The drive also does not include a mains option or a local control panel, so commands and operating data must be exchanged through the network or compatible remote service tools. A standard language pack supports the available operating interface and related configuration resources.
