Product Description:
The 131B0483 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, the unit regulates power supplied to three-phase induction motors, enabling controlled speed and torque in pumps, fans, conveyors, and other automated machinery. It belongs to the 302 series and supports normal cabinet mounting with compatible A, B, and C frames. This mounting arrangement allows the drive to fit into standard control enclosures with the clearances required for wiring and ventilation.
The drive provides a continuous shaft output of 3.0 HP, which corresponds to 2.2 kW of mechanical power at the motor terminals. Its input section accepts line voltages from 380 – 500 VAC and uses three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial mains supplies. The IP20 chassis provides basic protection against accidental finger contact and is intended for installation inside a protected panel. Standard cable entries simplify the routing of motor, power, and control conductors through the gland plate. The printed circuit board is uncoated, so the enclosure should limit exposure to conductive dust, moisture, oil mist, and other airborne contaminants. Adequate spacing around the drive allows generated heat to move away from its power electronics during continuous operation.
For electromagnetic compatibility, the drive includes an RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter that helps reduce conducted interference on connected power lines. Its programmable interface slot contains a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 option, supporting networked speed commands, status information, and operating feedback. Local operation is available through a graphical local control panel, which provides access to parameters, operating values, alarms, and manual controls. Regenerated energy from rapid deceleration can be managed by the integrated brake chopper when the drive is connected to a suitable external braking resistor. Slot B is not fitted with an adaptation, while the standard cable entries and language package retain the baseline configuration. Safe-stop wiring follows the connection practices for the series and can be routed separately from higher-power conductors to reduce electrical interference.
