Product Description:
The 131B0480 drive is produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Classified in the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it is an AC variable-frequency drive that allows industrial controllers to adjust motor speed in response to real-time load demands. This control can reduce energy consumption and mechanical stress in conveyor, fan, and pump systems installed in standard control cabinets. The drive can also regulate acceleration and deceleration, helping connected machinery operate smoothly during changing process conditions.
The power section accepts a three-phase supply of 380–500 VAC, allowing connection to compatible low-voltage industrial power systems. Operation with three-phase power requires no internal phase conversion, which reduces unnecessary electrical losses and component complexity. Continuous motor output is rated at 0.75 kW, corresponding to a mechanical shaft capability of 1.0 HP. The IP20 chassis enclosure is intended for installation inside a protective control cabinet with suitable airflow and restricted access. Its mechanical format supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, while standard cable entries provide direct routing for mains, motor, and control conductors. The printed circuit boards have no protective coating, so the drive is best suited to clean, dry locations without conductive dust, persistent condensation, or corrosive airborne contaminants.
User interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel with a backlit display for viewing operating data, adjusting parameters, and checking drive status. Networked communication is supported by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-option module, which allows the drive to exchange commands and process information with compatible automation controllers. An integrated brake chopper controls regenerated energy during rapid motor deceleration and works with a suitable external braking resistor when the application requires dynamic braking. Conducted electrical interference is limited by the built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, helping the installation meet applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements when approved wiring and grounding practices are followed. The standard language package supports local menu navigation without requiring an additional display accessory.
