The 131B0477 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As an AC inverter, it modulates three-phase mains power for industrial motors. This allows plant controllers to adjust motor speed, torque, and energy use on conveyors, pumps, and similar industrial loads.

This model delivers up to 7.5 kW of output and accepts a supply range of 380–500 VAC on a three-phase power network, allowing direct connection to standard 400 V plant distribution. The chassis has an IP20 chassis protection rating, so it must be mounted inside a cabinet, and standard cabinet mounting is supported for A, B, and C frames. Fieldbus integration is provided through the A-option slot, which holds a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 card and enables parameter access from PLCs. Controlled dynamic braking is handled by an internal brake chopper, which redirects regenerated energy to an external resistor. Standard cable entries simplify the gland plate layout, and the graphical local control panel displays live values at the cabinet door. The language pack is provided in a standard multilingual set.

For power-loss ride-through, the D-option slot contains an MCB-107 24 V DC backup module that keeps the control circuits active during brief mains interruptions. Conducted emissions are limited by the integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, supporting compliance in residential or light-industrial areas when the drive is wired with shielded motor leads. This filtering helps reduce high-frequency electrical noise conducted back toward the power supply or transmitted through connected motor cables. The printed circuit board is not coated, so the unit should be installed in a clean, dry enclosure to protect its electronic components from moisture and airborne contaminants. Adequate cabinet ventilation should also be maintained to prevent heat from accumulating around the chassis during continuous operation.
