Product Description:
The 131B0476 AC variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, it sits in the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and provides closed-loop speed regulation for asynchronous motors used in conveyors, compressors, and HVAC systems. By rectifying three-phase mains power and reconstructing a pulse-width-modulated output, the drive provides flexible process control while reducing mechanical wear in industrial automation applications.
The inverter is rated at 5.5 kW, with an equivalent output of 7.5 HP for matching the drive to existing machinery. It accepts an input of 380 - 500 VAC, allowing direct connection to compatible industrial power systems. Operation with three-phase power keeps DC-bus ripple low and supports stable motor torque. The IP20 chassis must be installed inside a guarded cabinet because it does not provide protection against water. Standard cabinet-mount brackets for A, B, and C frames simplify alignment with adjacent switchgear. Standard cable entries also simplify gland-plate preparation and conductor routing. A graphical local control panel allows parameter changes from the cabinet door. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, so the drive is intended for clean, non-condensing environments.
Field communication is supplied through the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 option card, enabling cyclic data exchange with PLCs and other compatible automation equipment. Control electronics can remain active during a mains interruption because the MCB-107 24 VDC backup module powers the logic bus from an external source. Regenerated energy from rapid deceleration is directed through a brake chopper, which helps prevent DC-bus overvoltage trips when used with appropriate braking equipment. Conducted emissions are reduced by the integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, supporting installation in applications that require controlled electromagnetic emissions.
