Product Description:
The 131B0473 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a controllable output that allows plant controllers to regulate induction motor speed and torque. Adjusting motor speed electronically can reduce reliance on mechanical throttles in pumps, conveyors, and other automated motion equipment. The drive also supports controlled acceleration and deceleration, helping machinery operate smoothly under changing process demands.
The drive supplies 2.2 kW of continuous output power, making it suitable for small and midsize process motors. Its input accepts line voltages from 380–500 VAC. The unit uses three-phase power, so it can connect directly to a compatible industrial supply without phase conversion equipment. Its IP20 chassis protection shields users from accidental contact with live components while allowing installation inside a ventilated control cabinet. Standard cable entries provide practical routing for incoming power, motor output, and control wiring. The normal frame mounting arrangement supports secure placement within an enclosure while maintaining access to terminals and ventilation paths.
An integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter reduces conducted electrical noise on the supply conductors and supports electromagnetic compatibility in industrial installations. Fieldbus communication is provided by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 option card, which enables cyclic command exchange, status monitoring, and parameter access from a connected PLC. The auxiliary power slot contains an MCB-107 24 V DC backup module that keeps the control electronics active during interruptions to the main supply. A brake chopper manages regenerated energy during rapid deceleration by directing it to a suitable braking resistor. A graphical local control panel provides access to operating values, drive settings, alarms, and diagnostic information. The drive uses a standard language pack, and its printed circuit boards do not have a protective moisture-resistant coating. The unused option slots remain empty, and no separate mains option is installed.
