Product Description:
The 131B0402 variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss as a member of the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Classified under the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it converts fixed-frequency power into a modulated output that allows automation controllers to regulate induction motor speed and torque. Electronic speed control supports efficient operation of pumps, fans, conveyors, and other motor-driven equipment in industrial plants.
The drive accepts an input of 380 to 500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, matching common factory distribution systems. Its inverter section delivers up to 0.55 kW of continuous output for controlling fractional-kilowatt motors. The IP20 chassis enclosure provides basic protection against accidental contact when the unit is installed inside a suitable control panel. Its cabinet-mount arrangement supports placement with compatible A, B, and C frame installations. Communication with the control system is provided by the factory-installed PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 option card, which supports cyclic process data and drive diagnostics. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so regenerative energy from rapid deceleration must be handled by external equipment. Line-side isolation is also provided by upstream equipment, while standard cable entries support conventional panel wiring. The printed circuit boards are uncoated and should be protected from conductive dust, condensation, and corrosive airborne contaminants.
Backup power for the control electronics is provided by the MCB-107 24 V DC backup, which can maintain control functions and communication during brief interruptions of the main supply. Local setup and monitoring are handled through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which displays current, frequency, operating status, and alarm information. The motor output of 0.55 kW corresponds to 0.75 HP, making the drive suitable for small blowers, circulating pumps, and light conveyor systems. Conducted radio-frequency emissions are attenuated by the integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter. This filter supports installations that require Category C1 conducted-emissions performance without separate external filtering. Standard cable routing helps preserve the intended electromagnetic compatibility when power and control wiring are separated and properly grounded.
