Product Description:
The 131B0310 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. In automated machinery, the drive regulates induction motor speed by varying its output frequency and voltage, allowing system controllers to adjust flow, positioning, or throughput without mechanical throttling. Intended for installation inside electrical cabinets, the unit supports conveyors, pumps, and fan assemblies that benefit from responsive electronic speed control. Its automation-oriented design allows motor operation to be adjusted as process demands change.
The power section accepts three-phase power from 200-240 VAC, making it compatible with common low-voltage industrial supplies. Under continuous duty, the inverter delivers 1.1 kW of electrical output, corresponding to 1.5 HP of motor output. A built-in brake chopper dissipates regenerated energy during rapid deceleration and helps prevent DC bus overvoltage when high-inertia loads stop abruptly. Standard cabinet-mount A, B, and C frames accommodate the unit, while conventional cable entries simplify routing through the gland plate. Ambient airflow through the control panel supports self-cooling and helps remove heat from the exposed heat sinks. The drive should be installed with enough clearance to maintain unobstructed ventilation during continuous operation.
Parameters can be configured through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which displays operating status and provides access to adjustable setpoints without requiring external tools. The IP20 chassis guards live components against finger contact while leaving the heat sinks open to cabinet airflow. A factory-installed RFI filter provides three-wire radio-frequency interference mitigation and helps the assembly meet electromagnetic compatibility requirements in typical industrial installations. The printed circuit boards are not coated, so the drive should be protected from high humidity, condensation, corrosive vapor, and conductive airborne contamination. The absence of a protective board coating makes proper cabinet sealing and environmental control important in demanding facilities. External control wiring should be routed separately from motor power conductors where practical to reduce electrical interference. Secure mounting and suitable cable support help prevent mechanical strain at the drive terminals.
