Product Description:
The 131B0297 AC variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss and belongs to the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output so three-phase induction motors can be accelerated, decelerated, or maintained at a precise speed according to process demand. Used in packaging lines, conveyors, and pump skids, the drive provides torque regulation without mechanical throttling, which can reduce energy consumption and improve motion control in automated installations. Its compact design supports integration into control cabinets where reliable motor regulation and efficient use of panel space are important.
The drive provides a continuous output of 0.25 kW, corresponding to 0.33 HP of mechanical shaft power. The input section is rated for 200–240 VAC and accepts three-phase power, allowing the inverter to connect directly to common low-voltage distribution systems. The IP20 chassis enclosure limits access to hazardous internal components while remaining compact enough for cabinet installation. A factory-installed RFI filter attenuates conducted electrical emissions that could otherwise affect nearby equipment. Because the drive does not include a brake chopper, regenerated energy must be managed externally or reduced through suitable deceleration settings. The standard language pack provides menu items in multiple user-selectable languages, making the control interface suitable for installations serving different regions.
The drive supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, and wiring passes through the standard factory-supplied cable entry plate. Users configure and monitor the inverter with the graphical local control panel, which displays parameter groups on a backlit screen and supports quick-copy transfers between compatible drives. The unit has uncoated internal electronics, so it should be installed in a clean, humidity-controlled enclosure when vapor or airborne contaminants may be present. The standard configuration requires no adaptation, allowing it to operate without application-specific factory modifications. Auxiliary option slots remain unpopulated, providing room for compatible communication, safety, or braking accessories when the application requires additional functions. This arrangement allows the base drive to remain compact while preserving access to optional capabilities through the available expansion positions.
