Product Description:
The 131B0151 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. In automated machinery, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output that controls the speed of an induction motor. This allows the motor to operate at the speed required by the process rather than running continuously at full speed. Variable-speed operation can reduce mechanical stress on connected equipment and improve energy efficiency in conveyors, pumps, fans, and other motor-driven systems.
The controller supplies up to 5.5 kW of continuous electrical power, which corresponds to a motor output of 7.5 HP. It accepts line voltages from 380–500 VAC through a three-phase power network. The drive mounts inside standard A, B, or C cabinet frames, allowing it to fit several supported panel configurations. Its IP20 chassis rating protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts, but the unit must remain inside a suitable protective cabinet. The drive does not have a brake chopper, so its configuration focuses on motor speed regulation rather than internal dissipation of regenerated braking energy. The A, B, and C0 option positions are unpopulated, leaving the drive without additional I/O or motion-control modules. The Brake Safe Stop function is also not installed in this configuration.
User interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel, which displays operating values, menus, alarms, and adjustable parameters. The standard language pack supplies straightforward menu text for local setup and operation. Conductors enter through standard cable glands, providing an organized path for power and control wiring inside the cabinet. An integrated RFI filter helps limit conducted electromagnetic interference that could affect nearby electrical equipment. The printed circuit boards have a protective coating that guards the control electronics against moisture and airborne contaminants commonly found in HVAC and conveyor cabinets. The C1, D, and mains option positions are empty, and the drive uses its baseline adaptation setting without additional installed accessories.
