Product Description:
The 131B0080 variable-frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Within a plant network, the drive converts fixed-frequency mains power into regulated electrical output for automated equipment. This regulation allows connected controllers to adjust motor speed and torque according to process demand, improving energy use and supporting accurate operating cycles in conveyors, pumps, production machinery, and other motor-driven systems.
The unit delivers 4.0 kW of continuous electrical output, which is equivalent to 5.0 HP. It accepts a mains supply of 380 – 500 VAC from three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial distribution systems within that voltage range. The drive has IP20 chassis protection, which guards against accidental contact with internal electrical components but does not provide protection from water. It must therefore be installed inside a suitable switchgear cabinet that limits exposure to moisture, dust, and other contaminants. Standard cable entries support organized routing of mains, motor, and control wiring through the cabinet. The chassis format also helps conserve panel space while keeping the power and control connections accessible for installation and routine service.
Integrated electromagnetic interference suppression is provided by an RFI filter, which helps reduce high-frequency electrical noise conducted back toward the mains supply. Operators access parameters and operating information through a graphical local control panel that attaches to the front of the drive. The display provides a visual interface for reviewing drive status, adjusting operating values, and navigating the available control menus. Its mechanical form supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing the unit to fit compatible panel layouts without unusual mounting arrangements. The drive uses uncoated circuit boards, so ambient humidity and airborne contamination should be controlled within the installation cabinet. The standard language pack supports operation in different regions, while the accessible interface allows operating values and diagnostic information to be viewed directly at the drive.
