Product Description:
The 131B0078 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a modulated output that allows controllers to regulate the speed of induction motors. It is suitable for conveyors, pumps, and general process equipment that require controlled acceleration, stable operation, or adjustable speed. Closed-loop control can help the connected machinery maintain its commanded speed as process loads change.
The drive delivers a continuous shaft output of 2.2 kW, which corresponds to 3.0 HP. It accepts an input supply ranging from 380–500 VAC and operates with three-phase power, eliminating the need for external phase-conversion equipment. The IP20 chassis enclosure is intended for installation inside ventilated switchgear and protects against accidental contact with internal electrical parts. An integrated EMC network provides standard harmonic mitigation, while the built-in RFI filter helps suppress radio-frequency interference that could affect nearby control equipment. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so applications requiring rapid deceleration must use suitable external braking or regenerative equipment. Adequate cabinet ventilation should be provided to remove heat generated during continuous operation.
A graphical local control panel provides direct access to operating values and adjustable parameters without requiring a separate programming tool. The display and keypad support local setup, status monitoring, and basic control from the front of the drive. The mechanical format supports standard cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing the unit to fit common panel arrangements used with this product line. Wiring is routed through standard cable entries, which provide organized access for mains, motor, and control conductors. The production boards are uncoated, so the installation area should remain free of conductive dust, excessive moisture, and corrosive airborne contaminants. Optional fields are not populated, and the unit uses the base configuration without additional adaptation features.
