Product Description:
The 131B0073 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It accepts three-phase utility power, uses pulse-width modulation to adjust its output frequency, and drives small AC induction motors in industrial automation cells. By adjusting motor speed instead of relying on mechanical dampers or control valves, the device helps conveyors, pumps, and fans maintain the required throughput while reducing unnecessary energy consumption. Its variable-speed operation also allows connected equipment to respond more closely to changing process demands.
The electrical input is rated for 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, making the drive compatible with common industrial feeders. An integrated RFI filter attenuates conducted emissions and supports electromagnetic compatibility within metal control cabinets. Parameters are entered through the detachable graphical local control panel, while a standard language pack presents menus and status information in commonly used languages. Cable entries are supplied in the standard configuration, allowing power and motor wiring to be routed through the intended cabinet openings. Adaptation B is set to no adaptation, so the drive uses its default application profile. The A, B, C0, C1, and D option bays are empty, and the mains option slot is also unoccupied. The drive has no brake chopper, so applications that produce regenerative energy require a suitable external method of dissipation.
The unit has a nominal electrical rating of 0.37 kW, making it suitable for fractional-horsepower motors used in light-duty automation equipment. Its IP20 chassis protection guards against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts while requiring installation inside a suitable enclosure. Physical integration uses normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, which supports an organized panel layout and preserves the clearances needed for cooling airflow. The drive uses uncoated printed circuit boards, so exposure to corrosive gases, conductive dust, condensation, and aggressive chemical vapors should be avoided. The open chassis design permits heat to dissipate through the cooling surfaces when the required cabinet ventilation and mounting clearances are maintained.
