Product Description:
The 131B0070 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied under the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As an inverter, it modulates incoming AC power to regulate induction motor speed and torque. This regulation allows connected machinery to adjust motor operation according to process demand rather than running continuously at full speed. The drive can support controlled acceleration, steady operation, and gradual deceleration in conveyors, pumps, fans, and general factory equipment. Its cabinet-oriented design allows it to operate as part of a larger industrial control system with external protection, switching, and motor connections.
The drive delivers a continuous mechanical output of 5.0 HP, corresponding to an electrical rating of 4.0 kW. The input section accepts 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, so it can connect to common industrial mains within that voltage range. An IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental finger contact with internal electrical components while allowing ventilation through the surrounding cabinet. Normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames supports an orderly panel layout and provides access to the power and control terminals. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, making the drive appropriate for clean, dry cabinets with filtered air and controlled exposure to moisture or airborne contaminants. External cabinet airflow should be arranged to carry heat away from the chassis during sustained motor operation.
Operator interaction is provided through the graphical local control panel, which offers on-device access to parameters, operating trends, status information, and fault messages. Its multilingual interface uses the standard language pack, allowing operating information and menus to be viewed directly at the drive. Wiring is routed through standard cable entries, supporting conventional separation of motor, mains, and control conductors within the panel. An integral RFI filter reduces conducted electromagnetic emissions that could otherwise interfere with nearby control or measurement equipment. For deceleration energy management, the model incorporates a brake chopper that directs regenerated energy to a compatible braking resistor. This feature removes the need for a separate external brake-chopper module, although the connected resistor must still be selected for the application’s braking load and duty cycle.
