Internal Product Review
The 131B0045 is a Danfoss VLT FC 302 automation drive engineered for precise motor control on 380 - 500 VAC three-phase power. The graphical local control panel supports efficient commissioning, and the brake chopper adds valuable handling for demanding deceleration profiles. IP20 / chassis protection and Class A1/B (C1) RFI filtering make this drive a strong choice for cabinet-based automation systems.

Product Description:
The 131B0045 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. By synthesizing adjustable output frequency and voltage, the unit controls induction motor speed in conveyors, pumps, and other continuous-duty machinery. Its variable-speed operation allows connected equipment to match motor output to changing process demands instead of operating continuously at full speed. The drive can also regulate acceleration and deceleration, reducing abrupt mechanical loading on belts, couplings, and other driven components.
The drive delivers a continuous motor output of 0.75 kW, which is equivalent to 1.0 HP. Its input bridge accepts a supply range of 380–500 VAC and operates with three-phase power, so no phase conversion is required. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts but requires installation inside a suitable cabinet. Cabinet airflow passes around the chassis and removes heat generated by the power electronics during operation. Cable entries use the standard arrangement for this frame, allowing power, motor, and control conductors to be routed through the panel without specialized entry hardware. The printed circuit board is uncoated, making the drive most suitable for clean, temperature-controlled locations where condensation and corrosive airborne contaminants are not expected.
User interaction is provided by the graphical local control panel, which allows operators to view operating data, edit parameters, and reset faults at the cabinet door. Mechanical attachment uses the standard cabinet mounting pattern for A, B, and C frames, allowing the chassis to align with compatible VLT backplates. A built-in brake chopper directs excess DC-bus energy to an external braking resistor during rapid deceleration. This arrangement helps control rising bus voltage when a high-inertia load returns energy to the drive. Conducted emissions are attenuated by the factory-installed RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which supports Category C1 compliance when installation conditions and permitted motor-cable lengths are observed. Standard cable glands provide secure conductor entry and strain relief at the enclosure boundary.
