Product Description:
The 131B0020 is a cabinet-mounted AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output, allowing connected controllers to vary motor speed and torque in conveyors, pumps, and other automated equipment. This control method lets machinery adapt its motor output to changing operating demands rather than running continuously at a fixed speed. The unit supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing the chassis to fit inside standard industrial panels without additional mechanical support.
The drive has a motor output rating of 3.0 HP, which corresponds to 2.2 kW for compact industrial machinery. Its input section accepts 380 to 500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, eliminating the need for an internal transformer. The unit has IP20 chassis protection, so the surrounding cabinet must provide the required protection against dust, moisture, and accidental contact. The A, B, and D option positions are unpopulated, while the C1 communication slot and mains option field are also empty. This arrangement leaves the essential power, control, and motor terminals available without adding unused option hardware or related wiring.
The drive does not include a removable local control panel, while its onboard interface uses the standard language pack. The C0 motion-control slot is empty, and the unit uses its standard control functions for motor regulation. A built-in brake chopper allows an external braking resistor to dissipate surplus DC-link energy during rapid deceleration. Radio-frequency interference is limited by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which helps control conducted electrical noise on connected power lines. The electronics use an uncoated printed circuit board, so the cabinet should protect the drive from moisture, condensation, and airborne contaminants. Power and control conductors enter through standard cable openings provided for cabinet wiring.
