Product Description:
The 131B0005 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. In industrial automation, it modulates incoming mains power so that a PLC or another controller can adjust motor speed according to real-time process demand. This capability can reduce energy consumption and mechanical stress in conveyors, pumps, fans, and other motor-driven equipment installed in standard control cabinets. The drive also supports regulated acceleration and deceleration, helping connected machinery operate smoothly when process commands change.
This model supplies up to 5.5 kW of continuous output power, which corresponds to 7.5 HP and supports midrange machine applications. The input section accepts 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, making the drive compatible with common industrial electrical systems within that voltage range. Its IP20 chassis enclosure protects users from accidental finger contact with live internal parts, but the unit must be installed inside a suitable ventilated cabinet. Standard cable entries simplify routing through the gland plate and provide direct access to the power, control, and motor terminals. The standard language package presents parameter menus in several commonly used languages. Although an LCP handheld keypad is not included, the terminal strip allows direct connections to digital and analog input and output signals.
Regenerated energy from motor deceleration can be managed through the integrated brake chopper when the drive is connected to a suitable external braking resistor. Conducted electromagnetic emissions are limited by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which helps the drive meet applicable interference limits when installation requirements are followed. The unit supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing compatible hardware to be arranged efficiently within the enclosure. Its uncoated control board is intended for clean, dry cabinets where moisture, conductive dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants are controlled. The baseline configuration does not include additional A, B, C0, C1, D, or mains option modules, and it does not include a special adaptation package.
