Product Description:

The 130B7204 is an input/output interface module supplied by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Installed inside the drive, the board converts field-level analog and digital signals into data the inverter can process, allowing process controllers to influence motor speed and receive operating information. By adding low-voltage supplies and signal conditioning, the assembly simplifies the integration of sensors, actuators, and safety circuits into industrial automation systems.

The module provides two isolated analog inputs. Each channel accepts currents up to 30 mA or voltages within ±20 V, and the converter samples the signal with a 10-bit resolution plus a sign bit for scaling in the drive software. A dedicated 10 V reference supplies connected sensors with 10.5 V ±0.5 V and delivers up to 15 mA. Transducers requiring a higher voltage can use the auxiliary supply, which provides 24 V +1, -3 V under loads as high as 200 mA. The card also provides one analog output with 12-bit resolution, and this output can drive external control or display devices with an impedance of 500 Ω or higher.

The digital section includes six inputs that recognize signals with a minimum pulse width of 4.5 ms, supporting edge detection and pulse counting from devices such as limit switches and encoders. One transistor output can source up to 40 mA and switch at frequencies as high as 32 kHz, making it suitable for pulse-train references or high-speed gating signals. The Safe Torque Off terminals have an input capacitance of 400 nF and draw 50 mA RMS at 24 V. These terminals interface with the drive-disable circuit so an external safety system can prevent torque generation when the safety input is opened.
