Product Description:
The FC-202PK55T4131B8878 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It regulates centrifugal pumps, blowers, and other water-handling motors in three-phase installations. By adjusting motor speed instead of relying on mechanical throttling, the unit can reduce energy consumption while maintaining the flow required by the process. Controlled acceleration and deceleration can also reduce water hammer in piping systems. These operating characteristics make the drive suitable for pump rooms, water distribution systems, and treatment facilities.
The inverter provides a mechanical output of 0.75 HP from an electrical rating of 0.55 kW. It accepts a three-phase mains input ranging from 380–480 VAC with a supply-line tolerance of ±10%. Under nominal load, the drive maintains a true power factor of at least 0.9. One analog output can operate monitoring equipment with a load resistance as low as 500 Ω. Two digital outputs have a shared maximum sink capability of 40 mA for transmitting status signals. The drive tolerates a line imbalance of up to 3.0%, and upstream pre-fuses must not exceed 160 A. Power may be applied once per minute to limit stress caused by inrush current and capacitor cycling. Motor cabling may extend up to 150 m when shielded or 300 m when unshielded without exceeding the permitted voltage drop.
The drive supplies full current without derating at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level. Its electronics remain within their operating limits at ambient air temperatures up to 50 °C. The permitted relative humidity is as high as 95%, provided that condensation does not occur. This moisture tolerance supports operation in humid pump rooms and water-treatment facilities when the enclosure and installation provide suitable protection. Proper cable routing and shielding help control conducted electromagnetic interference and preserve signal integrity near motor and control wiring. Adequate ventilation must be maintained around the unit so heat can dissipate during continuous operation. Supply conductors, protective devices, and motor cables should be selected to match the drive’s three-phase input and connected load.
