Product Description:
The FC-202PK55T2131B9130 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Designed for pump and fan applications, it regulates the speed of small three-phase induction motors used in water and wastewater treatment plants, wells, and cooling towers. The unit occupies the lower end of the product group’s power range and combines motor control with built-in analog, digital, and relay I/O. These connections allow PLCs or local controllers to adjust flow, monitor operating status, and issue alarms when process conditions deviate from their intended ranges.
The power stage accepts 200–240 VAC from a three-phase power supply and delivers up to 0.55 kW, or approximately 0.75 HP, of motor output. The line side requires protection from a 10 A upstream fuse. A continuous input current of 3.2 A flows when the drive operates at full load. One ±20 V analog input receives differential pressure or level signals, while the analog output can drive loads up to 500 Ω for retransmission to meters. Six digital inputs tolerate 28 V DC, and the transistor output sinks 40 mA at frequencies up to 32 kHz. A pulse input records sensor edges at frequencies up to 110 kHz. A 24 V DC terminal supplies 200 mA to external devices, while relay 01 can switch 240 V AC at 2 A.
On the motor side, the inverter supplies 3.5 A of continuous output current and operates with an efficiency of 0.95. Its operation dissipates 42 W of power as heat, allowing installation in compact panels with standard ventilation. Apparent power at 208 V is 1.26 kVA, providing capacity for transient torque demands without overloading the feeder. The drive also includes soft-fill, sleep, and pipe-break functions intended for pumping systems. These functions can respond to process conditions received through the analog or digital channels, allowing the drive to manage pump operation without requiring separate signal-processing hardware.
