Product Description:
The FC-202P7K5T4131X9647 is an AC variable frequency drive from Danfoss offered in the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It belongs to the VLT AQUA Drive product group and carries the internal series identifier 202. Designed for pump and fan duties in water-handling equipment, the unit converts three-phase 380–480 VAC mains power into a regulated output that matches motor load requirements. This controlled output supports stable flow and pressure regulation in industrial and commercial pumping systems.
At rated load, the drive provides a continuous output of 13.0 A when the supply is between 441 and 480 V. For high-overload conditions, it can deliver a short-term current of 19.5 A, while its normal overload limit is 14.3 A. Electrical output corresponds to 7.5 kW or 10 HP, allowing the inverter to operate midsize centrifugal pumps without derating. Its conversion efficiency is 0.97, placing the product in the IE2 energy-efficiency class. The input section accepts three-phase power and uses a 30 A upstream fuse for feeder protection. Dynamic braking can be added with external resistors having a minimum resistance of 72.0 Ω. The braking chopper supports a 6% duty cycle, and a nominal resistor value of 82.4 Ω balances energy absorption with thermal loading.
The drive can operate in ambient temperatures up to 50 °C and at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level without automatic derating. The output stage accommodates shielded motor cables up to 150 m and unshielded cables up to 300 m, enabling remote pump placement while supporting electromagnetic compatibility requirements. The inverter produces an estimated heat loss of 225 W during nominal operation, and its built-in cooling path removes this heat from the power electronics. Adequate switchroom airflow should be maintained so the cooling path can operate effectively within the permitted temperature range.
