The FC-202P5K5T4E66H3TG is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output that controls the speed of centrifugal pumps, blowers, and similar fluid-handling motors. By matching motor speed to process demand, the unit supports energy-efficient operation in municipal water treatment facilities, irrigation stations, and commercial HVAC cooling towers. Variable-speed control also allows pump output to respond to changing pressure, flow, or level requirements without relying entirely on mechanical throttling.
The drive accepts 380–480 VAC from utility grids and requires three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial mains. Its continuous motor output is rated at 5.5 kW, which corresponds to 7.5 HP. The polyester-coated enclosure is rated IP66 / NEMA 4X, protecting the electronics against dust, hose-directed water, and corrosive spray that may occur in chemical dosing rooms or exposed pump installations. This enclosure design supports installation close to the controlled equipment while reducing exposure to moisture and airborne contaminants. An integrated electromagnetic interference filter meets RFI Class A1/B (C1), helping the drive limit conducted interference without requiring a separate external filter in compatible installations.
The power stage supports Safe Stop, which provides a torque-free shutdown when the function is correctly connected and configured within the machine safety system. Local operation is handled through the graphical local control panel, a backlit interface that displays process values and permits parameter adjustments without a computer. The display provides direct access to drive status, motor data, operating references, and diagnostic information. Within the VLT AQUA Drive product group, the 202 series includes water-management functions such as dry-pump protection and flow compensation. These control functions help the drive respond to pump-system conditions while maintaining regulated motor speed and process output.
