Product Description:
The FC-202P5K5T4131Z0833 variable frequency drive is built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It modulates power to three-phase induction motors used in pumps, aerators, and filtration skids, allowing the system to match impeller speed to changes in flow or pressure demand. Through its analog and digital interfaces, the unit can integrate with level and flow instruments to provide closed-loop speed regulation and reduce the energy consumed by water-processing equipment.
The drive has a power rating of 5.5 kW, which corresponds to a motor output of 7.5 HP under nominal conditions. The inverter delivers a continuous apparent power of 8.8 kVA when the supply voltage is 460 V, and it can sustain an output current of 13 A in the 380–440 V range. Its conversion efficiency reaches 0.97, so only a small fraction of the incoming energy is converted into heat. Two analog inputs with 10-bit resolution accept feedback signals from devices that monitor conditions such as differential pressure or dissolved oxygen. Two programmable digital or pulse outputs can switch load relays or provide signals to PLC counters at frequencies up to 32 kHz. The control section operates from a 380–480 VAC three-phase power supply, making the drive suitable for common industrial power distribution systems.
During demand spikes, the drive provides an intermittent current of 19.5 A, while its input current does not exceed 11.7 A. Upstream circuit protection can be rated at 30 A to protect the connected power circuit. Power loss is limited to 187 W at rated load, supporting installation in compact enclosures with suitable ventilation and clearance. Motor cables can extend up to 150 m when shielded or 300 m when unshielded, providing flexibility when the drive panel is installed away from pumps, aerators, or other motor-driven equipment.
