The FC-202P55KT6135N4884 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It modulates the speed of centrifugal pumps and other water-handling motors so that flow can be matched to process demand. This operation reduces mechanical stress and energy consumption in automated water treatment plants.
The drive operates from a 525–600 V AC mains supply and is intended for three-phase power, allowing direct connection to industrial distribution panels. Under normal-overload operation, it can deliver 83 A of continuous output current, while the heavy-overload setting supports 62 A for short duty cycles. Typical shaft power reaches 55 kW under normal loading and 45 kW in heavy-overload mode. The inverter can generate output frequencies up to 590 Hz, and its digital pulse train can be switched as high as 32 kHz to minimize motor torque ripple. Overall conversion efficiency is rated at 0.98, meaning approximately 2% of the input energy is lost as heat. A 500 Ω load can be connected to the analog output for external monitoring.
Ambient operation is permitted at temperatures up to 50 °C without derating when the drive is mounted in a ventilated enclosure. Installation is allowed at elevations up to 1000 m before the output must be reduced, and operation can continue at elevations up to 3000 m with proportional current derating. For motor cabling, the unit supports shielded leads as long as 150 m and unshielded runs up to 300 m, accommodating installations in large pumping facilities. Circuit protection is provided by a 160 A prefuse that clears upstream faults without damaging the inverter. The control circuitry can transmit fault or process states through a configurable digital output. These output signals can be connected to external monitoring or process-control equipment.
