Product Description:
The FC-202P55KT4131F1077 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Installed between the utility supply and an induction motor, it modulates a three-phase 380–480 VAC input to control the speed of pumps and aeration blowers in water and wastewater facilities. By adjusting motor frequency rather than relying on throttling valves, the drive improves process stability and reduces energy use in automated liquid-handling systems. Its variable-speed operation allows pump output to follow changing flow or pressure demands without continuous mechanical adjustment.
An operating efficiency of 0.98 limits the amount of electrical energy lost as heat, reducing cabinet cooling demands. Under heavy-overload duty, the inverter delivers a rated motor output of 45 kW, while normal-overload duty provides a continuous output of 55 kW. These power ratings support different load profiles without changing the drive model. The input section draws up to 82 A from a 380–440 V line when heavy-overload operation is selected, and the inverter bridge can supply a maximum motor current of 106 A under normal-overload settings. Upstream circuit protection can use a 160 A fuse, and the digital outputs support switching frequencies up to 32 kHz for rapid status signaling to plant control systems.
The control stage generates output frequencies up to 590 Hz, enabling precise pump-speed adjustment across a broad operating range. Continuous operation is supported at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C, provided that airflow around the heat sink remains unobstructed. Shielded motor cables may extend up to 150 m without exceeding the drive’s output cable limit, which supports installations with substantial distance between the control cabinet and motor. Operation without altitude derating is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level. Installations above this elevation may require reduced output capacity to maintain acceptable component temperatures. Adequate cabinet clearance and ventilation help the cooling system remove heat during continuous pump or blower operation.
