Product Description:
The FC-202P45KT6131N8208 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It is intended to regulate pump motors in water-handling applications where speed must follow changing process demand instead of remaining fixed at line frequency. By varying output frequency, the drive helps reduce hydraulic shock, supports steadier flow control, and lowers unnecessary energy use during partial-load operation. The design is suited to installations that operate from industrial three-phase power networks and need dependable motor control for treatment, transfer, or irrigation duties.
At nominal operating conditions, the drive provides a typical shaft power of 45 kW, while 37 kW is available in heavy-overload duty for applications that require a different load profile. Corresponding motor current reaches 62 A under normal load and 52 A when high-overload mode is selected. A measured efficiency of 0.98 means that only a small portion of incoming three-phase energy is lost as heat inside the unit. Two digital or pulse outputs and one programmable analog output report operating status to external controls, and the digital channels can switch at up to 32 kHz. Upstream protection uses a maximum pre-fuse of 150 A, and stable operation requires line-to-line phase imbalance to remain at or below 3.0%.
For field use, the inverter is limited to one power-up per minute to reduce inrush stress on cables and protective devices. Continuous full-load operation is available up to 1000 m elevation and at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C. Motor leads may be routed as far as 150 m with shielded cable, or up to 300 m when unshielded cable is acceptable. These cable limits give the drive flexibility for layouts where the control equipment must be mounted away from wet pump areas or other restricted spaces.
