Product Description:
The FC-202P45KT6131L0224 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Belonging to the VLT AQUA Drive product group, it is intended for pump and blower duties in water supply, wastewater treatment, and irrigation systems. The unit modulates three-phase power to match hydraulic demand, allowing automation controllers to maintain setpoints while minimizing energy use and the risk of cavitation.
On the output side, the drive can deliver a continuous current of 52 A under heavy-overload conditions and 62 A under normal-overload conditions with a 525–600 V supply. These currents correspond to typical shaft powers of 37 kW in heavy-overload applications and 45 kW where normal overload is acceptable, providing flexibility when sizing motors for variable-torque loads. Electrical conversion losses are low, as indicated by an overall efficiency of 0.98. A displacement power factor above 0.98 and a true power factor of at least 0.9 limit upstream reactive demand. The inverter can generate output frequencies up to 590 Hz to support high-speed pumps driven by special-pole motors.
On the input side, the drive draws a maximum of 47 A under heavy-overload conditions and 56 A under normal-overload conditions from a three-phase 575 V line, so protective devices must be rated accordingly. A 150 A prefuse is used to clear fault currents without causing nuisance trips, and the control section accepts a mains frequency of 50 or 60 Hz without adjustment. Motor leads may be routed up to 150 m when shielded or 300 m when unshielded, supporting remote pump rooms and deep-well installations. Reliable operation is maintained at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C, permitting installation in unconditioned enclosures when adequate airflow is maintained around the heat sink.
