Product Description:
The FC-202P3K0S2131L1061 is a Danfoss AC drive supplied as part of the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It is built to adjust the speed of centrifugal pumps and blowers so that flow rates follow process demand in water and wastewater plants. By converting single-phase line power into a variable-frequency output waveform, the drive allows motor torque to be regulated without throttle valves or bypass dampers, improving efficiency in constant-pressure loops.
The power section is rated for a continuous apparent power of 4.5 kVA, which represents the combined real and reactive power the converter can draw from the supply while running a 3 kW load. With a continuous input current of 24 A and a continuous output current of 12.5 A, wiring and protective components must be selected to handle these steady-state currents. The unit accepts a mains range of 200–240 VAC on single-phase feeders, matching the low-voltage service commonly available in decentralized pumping stations. A conversion efficiency of 0.98 means that approximately two percent of the electrical energy is lost in the inverter section under nominal load. When the ambient temperature approaches the specified ceiling of 50 °C, the heat sink and airflow must keep the semiconductor junctions within their operating limits.
Operation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level before current derating becomes necessary. Internal power dissipation at full load is approximately 60 W, so enclosure ventilation must remove the resulting heat. Shielded motor cables can extend up to 150 m without compromising rise-time or electromagnetic compatibility performance, while unshielded cables may reach 300 m where interference requirements permit. A 40 A prefuse provides short-circuit protection. The 75 °C cable insulation rating is suitable for the expected conductor temperature during continuous service. The product carries an IE2 efficiency classification and can operate or remain on standby at ambient temperatures as low as 0 °C.
