The FC-202P37KT4131B9045 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Designed for centrifugal pumps, blowers, and similar loads in water treatment, it converts the fixed-frequency three-phase supply into a regulated output that maintains process pressure and flow. By integrating PID control and motor protection routines, the drive allows throttling valves to be replaced with electronic speed regulation, reducing energy use and extending mechanical service life.
Its nominal power rating is 37 kW, equivalent to 50 HP, so the unit can start and regulate medium-sized induction motors without external soft starters. The input section accepts three-phase mains from 380–480 VAC with a permitted phase imbalance of 3.0%, and it meets the IE2 energy-efficiency class used in modern installations. The displacement power factor remains above 0.98, while the true power factor remains at least 0.9. These values indicate that little reactive current is drawn, reducing upstream cable losses and transformer loading. The control logic also limits energization to one power-up per minute to protect the inrush-limiting resistors.
The inverter delivers up to 590 Hz at the motor terminals, enabling high-speed pump impellers when required for backwash or flushing cycles.
