Product Description:
The FC-202P37KT2131F1063 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It is designed to control three-phase induction motors in water-handling systems and general process lines. The unit adjusts motor speed so that pump or fan output can respond to changes in flow and pressure demand. This variable-speed operation helps reduce energy waste, limits unnecessary mechanical stress, and provides more precise process control than constant-speed operation.
The drive connects directly to a three-phase mains supply of 200–240 VAC and delivers up to 37 kW of electrical output, equivalent to 50 HP. The input stage can draw a continuous current of 130 A, while the inverter section can supply 143 A to the motor terminals. Apparent power under rated load is 51.5 kVA, which should be considered when sizing upstream switchgear, protective devices, and power conductors. The input stage permits a maximum phase imbalance of 3.0%, helping protect the power semiconductors from uneven loading. The inverter can produce output frequencies up to 590 Hz for motors approved for high-speed operation. The drive operates with an overall efficiency of 0.97, reducing internal losses and the amount of heat released into the surrounding enclosure.
The drive operates without derating at altitudes up to 1,000 m, with linear current reduction required between 1,000 m and 3,000 m. Its heat sink and electronics remain functional at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C, provided that the surrounding relative humidity does not exceed 95% and remains noncondensing. Maximum motor cable length is 150 m for shielded cable or 300 m for unshielded cable, allowing the drive to serve motors installed across large pump rooms or process areas. Shielded motor cable can be used to contain electromagnetic noise and reduce interference with nearby control wiring. The mains connection can accept a supply pre-fuse rated at 200 A. Appropriate cable routing, conductor sizing, and enclosure ventilation are required to maintain reliable operation within these installation limits.
