Product Description:
The FC-202P2K2T6131G1532 variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It accepts three-phase mains power and modulates the output voltage and frequency to control induction motors that circulate, lift, or aerate water in municipal treatment plants and industrial process lines. In this role, it replaces mechanical throttling, improves flow regulation, and lowers energy consumption.
Designed for continuous operation, the drive supplies a nominal motor output of 2.2 kW, equivalent to 3.0 HP, while the converter section draws up to 4.1 A from the three-phase network. Conversion efficiency reaches 0.97, and the rated power loss of 92 W must be removed through panel ventilation. Upstream protection is provided by a 20 A fuse, ensuring disconnection under abnormal fault currents without nuisance tripping during normal startups. With two permitted power-ups per minute, the electrolytic capacitors recharge within their thermal limits. Motor leads can extend to 300 m when unshielded without exceeding reflected-wave limits. Control logic is isolated from the power stage, and digital outputs can source up to 40 mA for contactor status signals or alarm annunciation.
The drive maintains full output when the surrounding air remains between 0 °C and 50 °C, and no derating is required until the installation exceeds an elevation of 1000 m. Its EMC-compliant design allows shielded motor cable runs up to 150 m, helping the installation meet conducted-emission requirements in compact pump rooms. On the control side, each multifunction terminal withstands a maximum of 28 V DC, so standard 24 V PLC signals can be wired directly without additional resistors. Cabinet airflow must account for the drive’s power loss while preserving the required spacing around ventilation openings. Cable routing should separate control wiring from motor conductors to reduce electrical interference. Installation above the stated elevation may require output derating to keep internal components within their permitted operating temperatures.
