Product Description:
The FC-202P2K2T4131X8051 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It accepts 380–480 VAC three-phase mains power and supplies a regulated variable-frequency output for centrifugal pumps, blowers, and similar equipment used in liquid-handling installations. By varying motor speed rather than mechanically throttling flow, the unit supports tighter process control and lower energy consumption across treatment, distribution, and irrigation systems.
The drive carries a continuous power rating of 2.2 kW (3.0 HP), allowing compatible small-to-medium motors to run at rated torque without derating. Apparent power demand at 400 V is 3.9 kVA, while the demand at a 460 V input is 3.8 kVA under an identical load. Output frequency can be adjusted from zero to 590 Hz, permitting substantial overspeed when an application requires a high dynamic head. Overall conversion efficiency reaches 0.97, helping keep heat generation low during operation. The design includes a brake resistor path with a minimum resistance of 260 Ω and a nominal resistance of 310 Ω to absorb regenerative energy during rapid deceleration. The three-phase input must remain within a 3% phase imbalance, and the controller limits cold starts to two power-ups per minute to protect the rectifier components.
The drive can operate in ambient air temperatures up to 50 °C, and its estimated internal power dissipation is 88 W under nominal load. Upstream protection requires a 20 A pre-fuse that accommodates the drive’s peak inrush current and short-circuit withstand capacity. The motor terminals accept conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 4 mm², providing adequate capacity for the supported motor range. Shielded motor cable runs can extend to 150 m without exceeding electromagnetic compatibility or voltage-drop limits. Unshielded motor cables may extend to 300 m in areas with moderate electrical noise.
