Product Description:
Danfoss builds the FC-202P22KT6131Z5292 as part of the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series, a family of variable-frequency drives intended to regulate centrifugal pumps and blowers in water and wastewater installations. By adjusting motor speed rather than throttling flow, the drive helps maintain pressure while reducing energy use and mechanical stress on connected equipment. Its three-phase power design matches the electrical layouts commonly found in treatment plants and distribution stations where continuous unattended service is required.
The unit delivers a nominal shaft power of 22 kW, which is also listed as 30 HP. It supports a continuous input current of 31 A at 575 V. That current equates to an apparent power demand of 33.9 kVA, which helps determine upstream transformer and conductor sizing. With an operational efficiency of 0.98, only a small portion of the electrical energy is dissipated as heat, so estimated thermal losses remain limited and can be removed by standard enclosure ventilation. The drive accepts three-phase power only, and branch-circuit protection must follow the published input requirements. Shielded motor leads may run up to 150 m, while unshielded cable can extend to 300 m without exceeding reflected-wave limits.
Ambient air can reach 50 °C; below that ceiling the drive supplies full current down to 0 °C, and it can still start loads at -10 °C with reduced capability. Installation altitude reaches 1000 m without derating and extends to 3000 m when current is reduced as required. Relative humidity may peak at 95% non-condensing, making cabinet heaters useful in damp stations. A maximum recommended line fuse of 60 A coordinates with the input current rating and provides fault isolation. This operating range suits installations in treatment plants and remote pumping stations.
