Product Description:
The FC-202P22KT4131F1072 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Designed for water-industry applications, it controls three-phase induction motors used in pumps and blowers. The drive varies motor speed to match changing flow or pressure demand, which can reduce energy consumption and mechanical stress. Its control functions support applications that require stable pump operation under changing system conditions.
This model accepts a three-phase mains supply of 380–480 VAC and is rated for 22 kW, equivalent to 30 HP of shaft power. Continuous apparent power reaches 30.5 kVA at 400 V and 31.9 kVA at 460 V, providing capacity for normal operating loads. The inverter can deliver output frequencies up to 590 Hz. Its digital outputs operate at frequencies up to 32 kHz and provide 40 mA of sourcing capacity for high-speed counters or relays. One programmable analog output provides 8-bit resolution and can drive loads with an impedance as low as 500 Ω for proportional valves or transmitter feedback. Two independent digital pulse outputs provide additional on-and-off signaling channels. The drive can operate at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C, while controlled switching helps limit temperature increases in the semiconductor junctions.
The drive supports up to 150 m of shielded motor cable, allowing the control panel to be installed at a practical distance from the connected motor. It also supports as much as 300 m of unshielded motor cable when the installation does not require shielding. With a cable length of 36 m, the output voltage steepness is 3.534 kV/µs and the rise time is 0.232 µs. The resulting peak voltage at the motor terminals is 0.950 kV. These electrical characteristics should be considered when selecting motor insulation and sizing a du/dt filter. Proper cable routing can also help control electrical noise and reduce the effect of high-frequency switching on nearby signal wiring. The supported cable lengths provide flexibility when the drive panel and pump motor must be located in separate areas of a facility.
