Product Description:
The FC-202P22KT2131H5475 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It modulates the speed of centrifugal pumps, blowers, and other water-handling motors to match real-time flow or pressure commands in industrial automation and municipal treatment facilities. By converting fixed mains power into a variable-frequency output, the unit enables energy-efficient motor control and reduces mechanical stress on process equipment.
The drive has a three-phase input range of 200 – 240 VAC and a continuous input current of 80.0 A. It processes up to 31.7 kVA at 208 V and dissipates 845 W at rated load, with an overall efficiency of 0.97. The inverter delivers a continuous output current of 88.0 A, corresponding to a motor output of 22 kW, or approximately 30 HP. Drive logic updates every 5 ms, so command changes are reflected quickly across the 1:100 speed control range. Speed accuracy remains within ±8 rpm during operation. Protective coordination requires a 125 A supply-side fuse to clear short-circuit faults without causing nuisance trips.
The drive provides full output at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C and at installation altitudes up to 1000 m without derating. Motor leads may extend to 150 m when shielded or 300 m when unshielded, providing flexibility for dispersed pump installations and equipment rooms located away from the controlled motor. The inverter adjusts output frequency in increments as fine as ±0.003 Hz, enabling smooth acceleration and deceleration around process setpoints. Closed-loop regulation supports stable motor operation when flow or pressure demand changes gradually. The rated operating limits also help maintain consistent output in warm equipment areas and elevated facilities without reducing the available motor power.
