Product Description:
The FC-202P1K5T6131G1530 is an AC drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Classified under the VLT AQUA Drive product group, it modulates the speed of centrifugal pumps, blowers, and other water-treatment machinery to maintain stable pressure and reduce energy consumption. By adjusting motor frequency rather than throttling flow mechanically, the controller extends equipment life and supports precise process regulation in municipal, irrigation, and industrial fluid systems.
The unit operates on three-phase power and delivers a rated output of 1.5 kW, which is equivalent to 2.0 HP for installations that use imperial units. Internally, the power section supports 2.8 kVA of continuous apparent power at 550 V. The output current is limited to 2.9 A on 525–550 V mains and 2.7 A when the line voltage is between 551 and 600 V. A maximum input current of 2.7 A helps limit upstream wiring requirements when the phase imbalance does not exceed 3.0%. The control electronics accept a supply that can deviate by ±10% from nominal without derating, and the overall conversion efficiency reaches 0.97, so most of the incoming energy reaches the motor instead of becoming heat.
The chassis supports ambient temperatures up to 50 °C; above that temperature, the output must be reduced or external cooling must be added. Full-load operation dissipates 65 W, so cabinet ventilation requirements remain modest. Field terminals accommodate motor leads up to 4 mm² and disconnect conductors up to 6 mm², with protective fusing limited to 10 A. Shielded motor cables can extend up to 150 m while remaining within the applicable operating limits. Unshielded cable runs can extend up to 300 m, allowing the drive to serve remotely located pumps while meeting applicable noise and voltage-drop guidelines.
