Product Description:
The FC-202P1K5T4131Z9639 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a modulated output that allows automation systems to adjust pump or fan speed for energy-efficient flow control. It belongs to the VLT AQUA Drive product group and regulates induction motor torque in water and wastewater installations where precise flow, reduced water hammer, and soft starting are required.
The rated output power is 1.5 kW, which corresponds to 2.0 HP, and the drive is designed for 380–480 VAC three-phase mains power. At the lower end of that range, the maximum input current reaches 3.7 A, while it decreases to 3.1 A at 441–480 V. Upstream contactors and cables must be sized for the applicable input current. The internal conversion efficiency is 0.97, so the drive dissipates only 62 W of heat at nominal load. A 10 A input fuse protects the rectifier from fault current. The power stage follows the Series Identifier 202 design, which establishes the arrangement of the DC link, brake chopper, and control terminals for this platform.
Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C; operation above this temperature requires derating. Full current is available at altitudes up to 1000 m, and operation can continue at altitudes up to 3000 m with a proportional current reduction. Motor conductors may use cable with a cross-sectional area of 4 mm², while the disconnect switch accepts conductors up to 6 mm². The protective earth conductor must have a cross-sectional area of at least 10 mm². For electromagnetic compliance, the motor cable can be up to 150 m long when shielded or up to 300 m long when unshielded. The built-in brake chopper accepts a minimum resistance of 382 Ω, while 437.3 Ω is recommended for typical deceleration cycles. Regenerated energy is dissipated through an external braking resistor selected according to the applicable resistance and power requirements.
